  • Genotype: A Mendelian Genetics Game is a strategic board game set in St. Thomas’ Abbey, where Gregor Mendel performed his paradigm-shifting experiments. Genotype is a worker placement and dice-drafting game where 1-5 players take the roles of research scientists competing to collect and validate experimental data on pea plants.

     

    Players will spend time working on the monastery grounds, simulate plant breeding with dice and Punnett Squares, and use funding to further their research opportunities. Plan your research wisely, demonstrate your knowledge of genetics, and use the harvest schedule to your advantage to excel among your colleagues.

    Ion is a card drafting game with no down time, where players select from a number of available ions and noble gases, with the goal of forming neutrally charged compounds or sets of noble gases. Players score additional points for creating compounds found on the goal cards each round.

  • Rodger recommends Math Fluxx to assist students with math. This was a subject many students struggled with and this can make understanding math more enjoyable by putting it in a game format. Math needs constant reinforcement and Math Fluxx provides a new path to their learning!

    Math Fluxx is really all about the numbers. Players use positive integers (whole numbers) in their quest to achieve mathematical Goals. But it’s not just putting 4 and 2 together to “make” 42; use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to achieve the Goal, or draw three extra cards if you have all of the digits in the Goal number!! With Math Fluxx, the fun is exponential!
