Pandemic Legacy is a co-operative campaign game with an overarching story arc played through 12-24 sessions. The number of sessions depends on how well your group does throughout the course of the story. The game starts similar to classic Pandemic, in which your team of disease-fighting specialists races against the clock to research cures before four plagues get out of hand. But Pandemic Legacy quickly evolves from there, as choices you make in one game session can impact the course of the story arc in future games!  Actions have consequences from one game to the next as you strive to avert global disaster in this stand-alone epic twist on Pandemic.

  • In Peptide, players compete to link Amino Acids side-by-side, building what’s called a Peptide Chain(another fancy word for a protein). In order to build this protein, players must first make a set of thoughtful selections from a number of openly available Organelle Cards. Selected Organelle Cards are removed from that round’s available options, creating an interactive open-card-drafting mechanic.

  • Rodger recommends using Periodic: A Table of Elements as a way to introduce the periodic table. This lets students see how the periodic table is arranged and how we use it in science. This game allows for a deeper understanding during gameplay and includes a great “The science behind Periodic” resource.

  • The deck contains 80 Sea cards in five suits. The five suits are represented by different colors and icons. Each suit has one card of each value; a higher card beats a lower card of the same suit — high (15) to low (0).

Depending on the number of players, a set number of cards from a set number of suits will be shuffled together. Players can decide in advance to play as teams, or each player for themselves. Each player will be dealt 10 cards to create their hand. In a clockwise manner, each player will contribute one card, chosen from their hand, to create a trick.
